this battle is gonna be epic move in indian football!!!!
it is just gonna be a make or break move ....we could witness hell lot of changes coming in next week when aiff present their answers to the clubs question..
and i doubt the participation of chirag united kerala,along with HAL and arrows, in this meeting....does this mean they are all but prepared for the worst??
Pailan Arrows is obvious, they are ran by AIFF also so they dont need reps at the meeting. HAL just dosent give a shit. Chirag will be there looking for potential sellers.

Hey guys what do you all think about the 2010 Major League Soccer opening ceremony... <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"> m -->
If AIFF want to open the I-League 2012-13 in style then get the first game on a Thursday, 7:30 pm IST. United Sikkim FC vs East Bengal FC at the Paljor Stadium and have the ceremony be like the one the Red Bulls did in the video. That would be a kick-ass start to the I-League season.
Also for people who want to know what a normal MLS game looks like... <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"> m -->
Why Thursday?? It would be great if it's either on Saturday or even Friday. People might come to watch on these two days, but thursday might not be a good idea.

Then have it on a Friday but make the opening match next season be the only match that Friday. So say we do the right thing and cut down to 10 teams then we would have 5 games a week. Have the Match of the Week be on a Friday, then have 2 matches of Saturday and 2 matches of Sunday. Make the Friday night game at 7:30pm so fans have time to get home from school/work and get to the stadium. The Friday night match could be called "Football Night in India'' in which you would have the biggest match that week be on Friday night.
Also I hope that the AIFF take a look at Regional TV Deals. So have 1-2 matches on TEN Action per week then let the remaining 3 matches be on Regional Television. Sure all of India wont be able to view the matches on regional TV but at least the local fans will.

people will tend to watch BPL on weekends ..so it has to be friday only

Well just for Match of the Week, the other 4 games (if we stick to the above example) would be divided into 2 games of Saturday and Sunday each. Also there are ways to advertise the matches on Saturday and Sunday to mix with Premier League. Say a Premier League match begins at 6:00 pm Indian time then at 8:00 pm Indian Time when the match finishes have the post-game announcers advertise the upcoming I-League match coming up next.
So it would be... 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm: Premier League match
8:00 pm - 8:30 pm: Some show about football in general, call it Football Goals on Saturday or something
8:30 pm - 10:30 pm: I-League match
friday night - match of the week is an excellent idea and i-league team should seriously consider it....
and i doubt the chance of bpl broadcasters to get the rights of i-league but ya we want to have some weekly analysis on the matches
so its india version of friday night lights instead of american football its soccer
Yep. Or for Major League Soccer we have the Thursday night matches at 7:30 pm (or 10:30 pm if the match is on the West Coast) and that is match of the week. That is where I got the Thursday idea but if Friday is good then fine. As long as we have 1 day where only 1 game is played and called our match of the week then we are good.
