@goalkeepar Has he taken India citizenship? He is Tibetan refugee background. Citizenship is not automatically given to their children even if they are born or live whole life here.
@munna219777 Its the other way round now. India is offering them citizenship. They are not taking it thinking that this acceptance of Indian citizenship may dilute their stand on free tibet.
@sam Free Tibet is a dream which will never be fulfilled. There is another reason for them not taking indian citizenship. UNHCR (united nations high commission for refugees) gives stipend to refugees as high as 1100 dollars per month to refugees family. Imagine a Tibetan Family getting 70 thousand rupees monthly because they are refugee. Once they become India citizen, no stipend. That free money is gone. They are also looking for greener pastures like asylum in Belgium, australia which will not be possible once they become India citizen. @ArsenalFan700 ; I guess leave his wiki profile. @munna219777 yeah, you are absolutely correct. Knew these facts too but forgot to mention. Actually there is a big tibetan settlement just beside where I live.
