    Once the leagues are merged seems to be the answer to every indian football problem.

    Let me remind everyone that till date there is NO OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT on this....it seems quite convenient to let the rumours spread and come 2017 it can easily be postponed citing "technical challenges"

    @deepakc merger is inevitable, the U17 WC will happen during ISL window and ISL teams won't pay for 5 months to players for a 3 month league if isl is pushed to January. Also stranding clubs like EB MB BFC would cause huge uproar including political (Bengal).

    If ISL /IMG tries further damage I league schedule, I think it's better to form one more football India association than spine less, use less AIFF

    It is FIFA who recognise the Association, not the Govt. or fans. AIFF is the only body recognised and supervised by FIFA and AFC.

    Fifa will recognize the football India and Shit the Fuck out of AIFF which is incapable of doing anything.
    @aresnalfan... I don't mind India getting banned until we fix the mess in domestic football. Anyway existing setup we cant produce quality players and current Indian top players aren't good enough to win Asia cup

    We should protest during AFC awards night in Delhi to make sure right message is sent out to AIFF to fix the mess they created

    Praful Patel has his buddies within the AFC and also FIFA... the AIFF won't be replaced anytime soon and any breakaway league would not be successful since the ISL will always win out there and the incentive for the league is so little. Players can also be told that unless they take part in an AIFF tournament, they can't be in ISL, which will always attract more money for players than any breakaway league or federation can do and that will be that.

    We have only been in this mess for a year... lets see what happens between 2017 and 2020. We will not be winning the AFC Asian Cup or AFC Champions League anytime soon so lets just have things happen.
