Where?
All of the stadiums other than Salt Lake Stadium have stands right next to the pitch. Not mega close (ala Duler Stadium) but like the Emirates Stadium.

Fb na? I don't think bengal people don't like stands closer to the ground. What u got from whoever u got is probably a aftermath of the derby. why whould anybody want stands to be away from the actual play.

And why not? He is doing more of a job than what everyone else in his position was doing. Why could he have not just left the Air India position and became full-time coach?
Air India job provides government job security, flat in Bombay, salary till 60, retirement, pension etc. He will not take a risk to resign from Air India for few bucks more and then lose a lot in future. once he resigns, there is little job security.

None of kalyani or barasat is away from the ground. In barasat it feels like u can almost touch the players from stand.

Too many eb fans in nearby area.
I think bcoz of stone throwing durung the MB vs CB match, somr Churchill player had got injured.
Is it to late to say that Mohun Bagan fans are the West Ham fans of India.
this might help u http://www.goal.com/en-india/news/1064/i-league/2010/01/12/1741046/i-league-banning-barasat-wont-help-too-much-churchills
so bagan fans throwing stones isn't too uncomon.
