any Marathi can be made to support which would include shiv sena supporters also...but the name shiv sena is not derived from shivaji but from shiva (I may be wrong here, but that's what i always knew)

Shiv Sena is named after Shivaji. Shivaji was named after Goddess Shivai Devi as Shivaji's mother Jijabai worshipped at Shivai Temple at Shivneri Fort. Its near Pune and I have been on Mountain Hike on that fort many years ago.
