Southeast asia has similar issues but the quality of grounds are improving and they have mid season break to counter the rains.. but india it too hot to play afc calenser..hence this is fine as done in mid east n iran..

That and, like you indirectly said, the ground quality. You saw how the pitch at the Nehru Cup became almost unplayable in August. At least during the winer months it is sunny and clear for almost every single match.

Wow. The AIFF are making the I-League into a little kids event very slowly.
OMG! Its not bad scheduling. This is just what happens when you are just 1 of the 3 countries from the Challenge Cup that has club teams in the AFC Cup.
If a domestic league is allowed in the AFC Cup then they should not be allowed in the Challenge Cup as well, at least that is the idea.

The AFC calendar is from February to November. The monsoons in India occur in July.
That is why Indian football will not convert to the AFC calendar.
