My Predictions:

- United Sikkim 1-3 Salgaocar

- Pailan Arrows 2-1 Mumbai

- Dempo 2-2 Churchill Brothers

- Pune 3-0 ONGC. (Yes I was biased).

- Shillong Lajong 2-1 Mohun Bagan (Yes. Bagan are not doing well, who knows about the mentality of the club at the moment. Lajong are on the up.)

- Sporting Goa 2-4 East Bengal.

- Prayag United 4-0 Air India.

2012-13 I-League (Round 1) Preview: Pune FC vs. ONGC FC:

Pune FC starts the 2011-12 I-League season against a team who missed playing in the 2011-12 season, ONGC FC.

For the fourth consecutive year Pune FC kick-off a new season at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mhalunge-Balewadi, following on from home matches against Mohun Bagan AC, East Bengal, Shillong Lajong FC in previous seasons.

Derrick Pereira’s side faces ONGC FC on Monday 8th October, 2012, then hosts Mumbai FC in the first ‘Maha Derby’ three days later before setting off to play their first away game in Kolkata (Yuba Bharati Krirangan) against East Bengal to round off the first month of the league spread over seven months.

Same. Shame they have to play there first match against Salgaocar. My hope is that maybe United Sikkim can turn out the way Pune did when they arrived in I-League. Start off not so well but then they somehow ended 3rd (not saying USFC will end in 3rd; I say 10th place for them.)

Read the Pune FC preview from 2009 on Goal.com. So many similarities between the Pune FC of 2009 and United Sikkim of 2012...

Why Sporting... Victorino Fernandes, Dawson Fernandes, Freiman Piexoto is a assist master. Adil Khan, and Ogba Kalu. If anything there bench strength will kill them.

United Sikkim 0 - 3 Salgaocar (Fact is, with their current form, it would be difficult for USFC to avoid the axe)

Pailan Arrows 3 - 1 Mumbai (I have immense faith on the Arrows)

Dempo 1 - 2 Churchill Brothers (Its time for Churchill to win the derby, purely from statistics)
