Guwahati weather is not any nicer than other places. You got it wrong there. Today an Assamese friend of mine was telling me once it rains the pitch at Guwahati stadium degrades a lot.
Indian rain, Indian Mud, Indian slush, slippery conditions if any will help Indian Team. Atleast it will not be very hot.
Oman players are used to Heat. Very hot weather will not be beneficial for Indian Team as squad is on physically weaker side. We have to play another Qualifier in few days time.
I replied my friends with the same words. Muddy ground conditions good for India against Oman (against B'desh NO, they are better than us in those conditions). Weatherwise Guwahati should be very humid. Not favorable for any of the country, maybe we can handle it a little better.
This is pdf of FIFA Regulations World Cup 2022. Page 27 to 29, they have mentioned some criteria for Stadium infrastructure and Equipment. They have mentioned the need for all-seater stadium, Warmup space behind Goal & behind substitute Bench.
It is my feeling that both Mumbai Stadium and Ahmedabad Transtadia might have been deficient here.
If only we could have the qualifiers in Delhi. Visiting teams will die of pollution even before tge match starts while our players are used to it. Total win! :P But jokes apart, why not consider Chennai as a venue for both our home games against Oman and Qatar (lets let even discuss Bangladesh or Afghanistan as wherever we play them we should ideally win). I thought Chennai was the only FIFA certified stadium eligible for international matches. And the weather.. even in winter months Chennai will be extremely hot and humid. Middle east countries may be used to hot weather but not sticky, humid conditions like in Chennai. I say we play both oman and qatar in chennai around mid afternoon timing, make their players run around a lot and soon they'll all be sweating like pigs. Then they'll get tired and maybe we can snatch a win.

Not everyone has your advantage, they are not human encyclopedias. Now that you have explained everything in detail, they will start liking it
