few months back NEUFC fan told me there is on stadium which is centrally located and always attract crowd, if this is the same stadium then it is understandable why they went for it

I wonder if there are no stadium in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Western UP, HP MP, apart from Uttarkhand, Eastern UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, North Bengal so that they had to go all along to Assam?!

This is the year of changing your home venues. Pune to Hyderabad, Delhi to Bhubaneswar, Bangalore to Pune, Punjab to Assam, Kolkata to Kalyani. 

Entire Indian football has been made a circus by Reliance owned AIFF.

@Deb_Ban ; Airport criteria is also there. thats why many potential venues with stadium get rejected due to lack of flight connectivity !!

Then some who got airport have exclusive contract with ISL- they will not share.

@munna219777 is that airport criteria also applicable for stadium to be eligible for I-league games? Minerva are not playing AFC this year.

I don't know about other states but UP certainly doesn't have any good football stadium. And even if they had one, crowd interest is also a factor. Ppl in UP are not at all interested in football so stadium would go empty in most matches
