BIG BREAKING : With just over a week remaining for the I-League 2024-25 season to kick-off, I-League clubs have threatened to boycott the league over the AIFF’s “unfulfilled promises” regarding broadcast of matches. [News9Sports]
The AIFF had assured the I-League clubs that the league would be broadcast on Sony this season, claimed Ranjit Bajaj.
“We have collectively decided that we’ll not participate, unless and until the broadcast agreement with Sony is confirmed, ensuring that the first match and all subsequent matches will be televised as promised.” [via News9Sports]
The I-League Clubs Association led by Ranjit Bajaj has sent a letter to AIFF secretary Anilkumar Prabhakaran on Thursday, demanding an immediate resolution to broadcasting commitments as no communication has been forthcoming on it. [News9Sports]
The SSEN website is now live. It is set to be the streaming hub of @ILeague_aiff, #IWL, #SantoshTrophy, and CFL. The app is available on iOS (yet to be available on Google Playstore).
The GoI owned public broadcasters, Doordarshan Sports is likely to become the official broadcasters of I-League 2024/25 season, we can confirm!
Sources close to the I-League, have told us talks had been held but that a confirmation from AIFF is yet to come.
When contacted few clubs, they reiterated the same.
Reports have emerged of SSEN being the new streaming partners but there has been no official word on that possibility also.

Sony eventually agreed on a 6+2 camera set-up with SRT at no cost. AIFF then suddenly withdrew from this and have apparently decided to award the rights to Shrachi Sports.
