Today 3 out of 4 games had a red card in it.

Karim turns out to be the smartest person in all this mess. He knows that this poor Bagan team cannot perform even under Fergie. He made sure that he gets a long term contract, knowing very well that the itch in the behinds of MB officials would not let him last long. This means that he gets a huge compensation when he gets the boot. Good job Mr. Karim. India is so welcoming for mediocrity!

Refs should think twice before giving a red. It spoils the game. The games that i saw, both the reds were dubious and could have been avoided. Both for Saha and Beto.

Almost a 1/3rd of the way into the season & though it might be only a point that separates the top 3, the defense is what sets East Bengal apart from the rest.

7 Clean sheets over 25% of the clean sheets in the league so far !!
    7 Clean sheets East Bengal
3 Clean sheets ( Dempo, Churchill, Mohun Bagan and Pailan Arrows)
    2 (Salgaocar)
    1 (USFC, SLFC,SCdeGoa,PuneFC,ONGC, Mumbai FC)
0 Clean sheets (Prayag, Air India)

tough to see Prayag being contenders when they are shipping in almost 1.5 goals/game
Dempo & Chuchill are the only ones to match East Bengal in conceding less than a goal per game , and if they can maintain this thru the next 1/3rd of the season , they will still be in contention for the title come the I-League break.

Air India will certainly stay in the relegation zone due to there defense, but the 2nd relegation spot is going to be hard fought like it was in 2009-10, when Salgaocar, SLFC,Mumbai FC and SCdeGoa were all scrapping to avoid the drop. Add USFC and ONGC to this group and we will see these 6 teams pulling away from Air India probably but struggling to catch the top 4 unless they sort out their defensive issues.
