@shibier I am from Kota, Rajasthan.  I visited Palghat many years ago as a part of Indusrial Tour cum Training at Instrumentation Limited which is at Kota and Palghat. Great memories with friends of train Ride "Kerala Express", very scenic route between Coimbatore to Palghat and Malabar Parotta

When I went there, it was known as Palghat. New names I am not sure how to spell. It will take a generation to correctly use new names of the cities around India.

Apart from @munna219777 visit and @ashindia's  ancestor home there is nothing exciting about palakkad in terms of football.
