I am feeling bad for Nepal. They had such amazing team at u16 level who could have easily made them top the group and qualify to the mains
<br><div><br></div><div>nepal u16 is good than nepal u19.But may be anfa is busy in making nepal u16 more strong by making them to play in knockout tournment where 8 top tier clubs of nepal, bhutan national team and other nepalese club based in honkong and australia is participating.</div>
Honestly, the only way India will get better is if we get more club academies and a proper I-League U19 going. I don't know, perhaps I am looking to high above the clouds here, but I want to not only see India U19s make the U19 Asian Championships but I want to see us contend in it. What I saw from our performance was utter rubbish but, at the same time, I also saw potential... the potential we could have if we just applied ourselves a little more.<div><br></div><div>No amount of youth tournaments or youth international friendlies will get us this, only strong focus on our development system will. Look at Pune FC. They have a 20-year old scoring in the I-League already from a 3 year old Academy. They debuted a 16-year old last season (who was apart of this U19 Indian squad).</div><div><br></div><div>You can see the benefits of these Academies like the one in Pune. If we can just get more of these then we can actually challenge in Asia. Until then, I won't hold my breath.</div>
A bad set of players and a worst coach . Only three players Udantha, uttam and Alen Deory are good. Two of them not get enough playing time.<div><br></div>
Well, most of these players are from our under 16 batch from last yr,so it would have been better if had the best possible under 19 team. <br>It seems like barring Udanta and the PFC guy none of these guys even played the last year's under 20 ileague and you expect them to play really well.<br>Some of these guys should sign up with the ileague clubs so that they can develop further at an early age.<br><br>Anyway can we have a list of under 19 players currently playing in the GPL,CPL and ileague? @ashlesh, @joyptan
