That stadium is privately owned by BFC????
Well no. but then BFC is suffering because of low capacity also. BFC can easily get 15000 tickets sold if stadium has more capacity and floodlights. It is owned by Karnataka state football association.
Artificial turf came as FIFA gift. same way hope sponsors Jindal gift some cement and steel also.

WRONG.  stadium capacity is 15000 atleast. Go to this website

Try to buy tickets for East Stand and South Stand for 15th december game. Then you will understand why tickets are not sold because of unsafe stadium.

Not allowing spectators to go there as stands do not have enough strength. cement, steel stolen due to corruption while building stadium.

  • Bangalore football stadium's current capacity is around 7000, the east stand which could seat around 5000-7000 people is unsafe due to unquality cement and steel used during its construction.
  • I too like to see a team from Chennai, but I doubt whether any interest for football there. I stayed in Chennai for 2 years, I am Chelsea fan. We from " Official Chelsea India supporters club"  organise screenings across all major cities in India. But, it was very tough to find any fan and if we find one there is no co-operation. Not only Chelsea fans, Even Man utd, Arsenal and Liverpool who are very active in all cities are very hard to find in Chennai.

Condition of local football in Chennai is very worse than this, everyone knows that.

Chennai is also not a cosmopolitan city like others. In my opinion BFC is getting good support in Bangalore mainly because of its cosmopolitan population.

Nehru stadium is good, but it has a big running track. So, it won't create a good atmosphere for a football game.

I ask this question, how could one stand hold as much people as rest of the stadium?

I ask this question, how could one stand hold as much people as rest of the stadium?
Yeah it might hold, because west stand's capacity significantly reduced by those VIP seats (bucket seats) with so much space is wasted, 100-200 VIP's (500rs) are seated, where actually 500-1000 fans can be seated or even more. And there is no press box media box on the east stand. So, I think it could hold around 7000 people, because total capacity is 15000, current capacity around 7000 only
