Among all this rambling, do not miss @hadfadkar's post. So the 20 member squad has been announced and Wim has kept 4 options in the strike department! Apart from the 3 that visited Tajikistan, he has included Jeje. What should one make of it? Has he lost faith in Sunil, Robin and Dawson after watching them in Tajikistan so much that he had to take in Jeje who has been out of form and irregular? Or has Jeje shown promise in the practice match against Bangalore?

I doubt he has lost faith in Sunil. I think he has no choice. He needs more attacking options.

4 or 5 or 6 or 10 strikers...this stupid gonna apply one striker strategy. Somebody whishper in his a** to try two strikers Sunil and Jeje upfront. We have yielded more favorable result under 2 strikers than this lame(for Indian standard) 1-5-4 stratgey.

Hope @arsenalfan doesnt counter with his not so logical excuses again.

mate whats the problem with going one striker? sometimes its not the formations that work but having the best players in the best positions. have you been watching the i-league? sunil who has hardly played an entire season is still the best striker in the squad. so talks a lot abt the ability of indian i-league strikers.
also having dutch style of play is a lot better than the hoofball played under houghton. i would rather see indian team playing passing football rather than putting long balls in and hoping for a result.
@Ronny...WIM is a mental case. His vision about player is just pathetic the reason why he left Dika. Everybody knows game against Tajiks were better after Ralte and Aratas induction. But this nerd doesnt know who should be in and who should not.
@Dx77...here come again one faltu analyst. Hope he is not the same person arsenalfan. So dude has Indian team yeild anything under that one striker strategy? And who said with two strikers India should be playing long ball? Why was Armando succesful with sunil and jeje upfront ? India is not europe or americans where all the 11 are talented which can do away with 4-5-1 formation. I really cant understand how you guys can justify this startegy for Indian football.
