wen we won in february there were about 15000 people i think but today was next level.. crowd and noise was similar to 2008 saff in maldives... great start but i wasnt expecting this from nepal to be honest.

Bangladesh also had good crowd when they hosted SAFF cup in 2009 and 2003.
In 1987 SAF games at Calcutta, India defeated Nepal 1-0 in Final in front of 80000 crowd at Salt Lake Stadium.
http://www.rsssf.com/tabless/safg87.html
Does anyone have any sources for the attendance during the first match? Goal.com as usual does not provide this (Get your shite together goal.com). Surely there is information on this!!!

Rough estimate 22000 to 25000. Official capacity of the stadium is 17000 but they cram more people in stands, free pass and lack of numbering system for seats means exact attendance is not monitored.
Although for events like AFC Cup, it is mandatory.
