@gaffertape: well we can still count on our youth teams to make a smooth transition to the senior squad in a few years. I have great hopes from the current U-19 and U-23 squads. They can surely hold their own against most Asian sides if not the top 8<br>
<br><div><br></div><div>Rob Baan leaves in a month , Wim will follow shortly , with an Indian TD coming in , and Bhaichung Chutia a Technical Advisor to the AIFF , to say we are fucked is an understatement.</div><div><br></div><div>I have seen the books at the AIFF , and if you think we can afford to fund the Goal project academies at Bangalore , Navi Mumbai , SikKim etc. then dream on...</div><div><br></div><div>We got warned that the Navi Mumbai Academy will be kicked out of Father Agnel if we didn't pay the outstanding dues last month !!</div><div><br></div><div>Don't judge the strength of our U-19 & U-23 teams by Colm Toal's boasts & some clever reporting by AIFF media, we play shitty Goan club teams and some amateur Mumbai teams , and look great !</div><div><br></div><div>The truth is actually a lot more horrible to face...</div>
<div><br></div><div>The man is corrupt, you know that, and his style is overrated. He only won once while coach of India and that was a game that did not count against Qatar. He really did nothing that says he should be manager.</div><div><br></div><div>Plus we do not know what happened. Everyone is coming down to there own conclusions about this game and this side but the truth of the matter is that we can not say a thing really until we see what happened. How did Tajikistan score those goals? How was India's passing? What style did we implement today? Which players started to overlap on certain plays? What players decided to do a long-shot that would never go in? </div><div><br></div><div>We don't know any of that. Also keep in mind we only have 1 striker and a few scrubs who are subs at best and that is the fault of the AIFF, IMG-Reliance, and the I-League U20 clubs. The AIFF and IMG-Reliance are at fault for causing this black plague on Indian football and our club football by separating the I-League and the players who play in it, thus making selection difficult. The clubs are at fault as they have never been able to produce anything for India. The best we have as back-ups for Sunil Chhetri are Dawson Fernandes and Robin Singh. Both are good, average strikers but they are no where near good enough for international football. Sunil Chhetri left for MLS in 2010... 3 years ago. In that time, 3 seasons, we have not been close to getting a player to at least complement him on the national team. Jeje was the closest but his fire burnt out so quickly and now he may not recover. </div><div><br></div><div>So don't exactly blame Wim as again, we have no idea what the hell happened in Tajikistan. There are many factors in this Indian squad that just told us that this result was inevitable.</div>
wat wim will say to players after loss to tajiks:<div><br></div><div>guys u played well but v were unlucky....forget this match as this is past...we hav saff cup...wat we shu do now to think how we will play out a draw against mighty pakistan and nepal.....as pakistan r physically superior and nepali are technically.....guys we need to reach atleast semi-final or my job will be lost plz.plz do sumthing....</div>
