Wikipedia is a website containing huge Database's of almost everything including Football.Just thought that it would be great if we can manage Indian Football in Wikipedia.

I Have updated the Indian National Team squad and its very strange as majority players are only around 18-20 years only <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s -->

Great work on maintaining all these wikipedia pages Ash. I'm sure it has been a lot of work, and i've always been amazed at how up-to-date they always are. I never realized you were responsible for it all along.

I'm not sure if the update for the AFC Challenger qualifiers is required though. As I'd noted on another forum, it's only for this tournament because the AIFF wants to give the youngsters better competition to play before the next round of the Olympic qualifiers (assuming they get past Myanmar). Houghton expects to get the senior team back (hopefully he'll retain a few U-23 players - I'm thinking maybe Gurpreet, Gaekwad, Jewel, Jibon, Jeje and Robin Singh all as reserves) for the WC qualifiers. According to the article on goal.com where he responded to the racism charges he said this "Finally,

Finally, Ash, since we're such old friends, I beg you to delete the nickname "Bhangra Boys" from the wikipedia entry (I'm not asking you to change it to Monsoon Warriors, just take Bhangra Boys out). You can't imagine what a strong legitimizing presence wikipedia is for the nickname. I can forward an email to you that I received from the AIFF which says they don't endorse the name, if you want (yes I'm so serious about this that I emailed them). but if I get some pics from the footballers themselves, then we can use them...isn't it??? I can try to get some from facebook...but ofcourse not from big players!!!
