Oh yes.. you are damn right. Infact Trevor Morgan's first competitive match in india was against this very opponent Mohammedan AC. Most probably East Bengal won the match 5-0. Yes now I remember. Budhiram scored the first goal of a naoba singh corner from the right and bikash narzary scored a hat trick in his debut in the red n gold colors. These are the memories that I have of that match. Well thank you for giving the opportunity to dig deep into the memory lane. I'll do some asking here n there and hopefully by evening will be able to tell you about their present status. Again, thank you samyajit.
@munna219777 yes, there is. But they are different clubs. @goalkeepar don't know how being an age fraud makes difference at senior level. Whether he began at 25 or 35 doesn't matter, he had skills. He should have lasted at least one whole season. Sadly, he didn't.
I have been following Indian football for more than 30 years now but this club had slipped my memory.
Incidentally, I found a match report of the match both of you were talking about, EB's 5-0 win against this club. It refers to Mohammedan AC as "another outfit of former soccer giant Mohammedan Sporting".
I have received some info on Mohammedan AC. The club now a days plays in the third division of Calcutta football league. In 2009 for the first and only time they got the promotion to the premier division. That year they played few other tournaments such as, sikkim gold cup/Darjeeling gold cup etc. Since 2011 they are pretty much out of the big circuit and plies their trade at the lower divisions of Kolkata.
