@salgaocar getting a point back is a mockery of the professionalism AIFF is trying to force on I-league. The points should not have been deducted in first place, but once deducted should not have been awarded back.

It would have been interesting have BFC lost the match against Salgaocar where they field alleged ineligible players.

So AIFF have fined them 50K and given the points back !
So are they admitting that Salgaocar are in the wrong. .but 3 points is harsh...

Seems remarkably like MMB punishment last year ...where a fine suffices !

Its a remarkable way of making money. :P Punish a team for its mistake and subsequently revert it back get money in return.

Anyone knows wat is the avg. Attendance of md. Sporting?
  • gaffertapegaffertape 13021 Points
Avg. attendance means nothing if fans aren't paying for the tickets.

Mohd Sporting have had reasonably good support this season, but when you don't even pay your players , these things seem irrelevant

@gaffertape is right. Though MSC have paying supporters, the very existence of this club means division of sports lovers on religious lines.

@Deb_Ban ; Well nothing wrong in religion line as we have Old Firm Rangers and Celtic FC which is one of the world's biggest Derby and their supporters are divided on Religious Lines - Protestant and Catholics. Clubs have people based on geographic differences, political ideology, religion, economic strata etc. We have examples of club supporters on each of these criteria. Nothing wrong in Religion.

Rangers and Celtic are now more than that... it is not as if preists go to matches only. People of all religions go to Rangers and Celtic games. That may have been true before but today that rivalry is more than religion.

Also, Scotland... not the best example to use these days.

Okay but is there anything wrong in having a community based club? That community may have been religion based or region based or a particular economic strata or a particular political ideology. A religion based club is better then a chit-fund based club (United SC) or a CSR tax saving club who refuse to play in its own city (Mumbai FC). Different criteria is there for club support and religion is one of them. Persepolis vs Esteghal derby is famous in Iran where Persepolis is working class community support whereas Esteghal is ruling class-government supporters.
You think that only Muslim Priests go to stadium for Mohammedan Sporting games????
    :P

No but by beef with Mohammedan is there lack of professionalism... as usual among Indian football clubs. Of course I have complained about there religious past before but obviously that has been debunked as a bad reason to go against the club.
