I hope Pune FC will sign some major footballers now that they have been presented with this chance. This also goes with their philosophy, being a pro club, they must have had dreams of playing in ACL. Should not let this go!
On there website they had that one of their goals (at least for their Academy) was to develop enough players to eventually win the AFC Cup.
Sadly they will not be able to do that as they have to play in the god damn AFC Champions League... Gosh darn
Anyway, for Pune FC they really need a favorable draw in the qualifiers. Tampines Rovers, South China, Chonburi, and Ha Noi would be great draws. If we can stay away from the other three then we have a great chance of moving on.

They have not reached AFC Champions League yet. Its only qualifiers. Dempo and Churchill Brothers in the past have also reached qualifiers and lost. Only 2 out of these 8 East Asian teams will go thru. Chonburi, Beijing Guoan and Melbourne victory are formidable opponents.

You are basing the entire Champions League on the top leagues in Asia (who can afford the Serie A players etc). Pune can still make it to the Group Stage without them, they just need a favorable draw.
Well one club from Korea DPR will play. Thats weird because Korea DPR is like top asian team-played in world cup in 2010 and regular at Asia cup. They deserve AFC cup not AFC President.
