TDs should be scrapped from football overall. Unless you have a franchise type league where things are more complicated then the TD should not be a real role.
Let the coach have control. He should look at HIS team, ask the owner for a player, and then the owner works on it. Not have a TD in the middle!
Just saw Balwant Singh's goal against Home United... get that man a trial with a 2nd Division team in America... that was fucking nasty! Much better than the 2nd goal, this one was more tougher and the finish was sublime. At his age and on the form he is on right now a move abroad would not be a bad risk at all.
And why do I say NASL? Well, other than my American bias (I admit it) the NASL will be in its one month break after the I-League so Balwant can come and get accustomed and then play straight away which Wim would love very much. Seriously, I think he could do it. FC Edmonton would be a nice destination... playing with Indian players like Sadi Jalali and Gagan Dosanjh... that would be epic.
NOTE: BTW, I do have contacts. If someone could compile a video with Balwant's goals I could make something of it.
It will be interesting to see how Churchill Brothers approach AFC cup games now. CB is fighting Relegation in I-League. Departure of Cristian Lagos and performance of Zeleny has not helped them either.
