@sdr62 ; Those times were different. Players like Majid Biskar. Jamshed Nassiri were students at Aligarh Muslim University. From University, they jumped to Indian Football.In the 1970s and even in 1980s, thousands of Iranian students used to come to India for University education. Its not like Club Player from Iran transferring to East Bengal. I was once talking about him with an ex-player of East Bengal who used to play for them in early 1980s. He told me that Clubs were involved with AMU student union president to get players.
