@AKB All those derbies are not organised properly. Money is not spent wisely. As we already know that ISL is conducted by IMG( one of the biggest private companies) which is a private organisation so we can expect good quality organisation. If you know, there is something known is deficit planning in economics. ISL is bound to suffer losses for 2-3 seasons. But after that it will just pick up. We guys think that ISL will fail and all that. But remember, those guys out there are not idiots. They are managing the posts because they are capable of doing so. Regarding atletico madrid shutting their shop after some years. That's not gonna happen. Everyone knows that they are just using their name to gain popularity in INDIA. We are 1.2 billion people. If they can tap even 100 million it will a good business prospect. But since they are using their name, we can expect quality academy and development to come to india. We as indians think that they are fake and nothing will happen. Its just typical indian mentality. But if football has to develop it has to start somewhere. I league was given its time. It could not succeed so lets take a risk.Do something different.
I would really love to see non professional clubs shut down and ISL be merged with I league. Only serious teams should be allowed. MMB and EB should be there cause of their heritage but that too on condition that they change their management.
    Lets hope for best.

I haven't said that Atletico Madrid is fake or their intention is not good. What I wanted to say and that you missed out is, to understand the infrastructure and spectator facilities at YBK, they need to be there during a derby when a match witnessed by 80000-90000 finishes and spectators move out of the stadium in near.. I repeat near darkness at Gate nos. 2,3 & 4. Add to it, because of unhyginic washrooms.. people urinate anywhere. This stadium is almost 30 y old and can anybody say that they have seen any improvement related to spectator's comfort ? Atletico Madrid guys need to know the reality. Eden Gardsens is owned by CAB and it remains as a magnificient stadium as far as spectator's comfort is concerned. YBK is owned by the State Govt. and it remains a hell. Atletico Madrid should know the facts. They will surely put money for improvemrnt but can the football lovers buy the tickets which will be costly as a result ? Any way, we are moving from the subject... any news about possible change of colour by Robin Singh & Balwant Singh ??

@coolgagan Hmmm...All that we know...I only think, lets not get overboard about it. Few pointers: 1. Atletico reportedly has only about 25% stake in it. Hence its not a huge money that they have pumped in. 2. They are also not as big as a Barca/Real and they have said their main purpose is to open academy here, by which (they think) they can produce few talents for future use. Thats how they bring up footballers back home and dont run for big name. See, they cudnt retain Diego Costa, who loses out to Chelsea after this season. 3. They cant even think about having their eyes on the bigger/better South Asian countries - where ManU/Chelsea have held forte - adn hence I think they have set sight for India and Kolkata( and rightly so) - its a brilliant move, no doubt. 4. However, the saddest/frustrating/challenging part is that things simply doesn't move here and people are so fuckn obsessed with cricket (despite non performance of our side and corruption  - courtsey Srini). Somehow I dont have confidence in these 3 industrialists - their willingness/patience to continue to put money after the 1st year (and remember - thats the key to success here). U see, HI started the Indian Hockey League(with mediocre success and hype after the initial fizz of the first year), IBL ,which started last year with some of the biggest names (who are number 1/2/3 shuttlers in World Ranking) is not happening this year. And mind you, both HI and BAI have a better adminstration than AIFF have  - and my doubt stems from here. 5. I think we need to have more Corporates coming into I League (am praying atleast 2 must get the nod this year and also have the balls to continue and not back out like Mumbai last year), and then u wud see more and more of professionalism/accountability - both in the establishment (Teams/officials/ AIFF) and thats when clubs like Atletico would sit up and take notice.
