PFC left back/right back Gurjinder toying up options of Salgaocar or Mohun Bagan. ..would be another good Indian national team fringe player that Salgaocar add to their ranks
I hope too se I-league clubs scout better foriegners Dont wanna see moga chidi or penn odafa @gaffertape any transfer news on those above mentioned player
Seems some clubs are modifying there methods of signing players whilst others are stuck with their tried & tested ( & failed) methods...
Take PFC for example, the management team led by Chirag relies heavily on the analysis of Sujay and then the hard balling of manager Ashok to convince the owners on the players they sign ...
yet despite having some group decision process they still managed to sign Nawab Zeeshan , Prakash Thorat , Lester Fernandez who all turned out to be spectators and not even bench warmers, in contrast the youth players that Gift Raikhan brought through offered more help to Mike Snoie.
It would have been impossible to entrust Snoie to sign the Indians after his 1 attempt with the foreigners, was the disaster of Mike Riga as a #9.
Mirjan Pavlovic was brought in behind his back by the trio,
Unless they bring some order to this mess, expect more signings which one or the other don't like , leading to a divided dressing room...something PFC can't afford after their 1st 5 years of positivity in I-League, they don't want to slip in the transfer market now and allow others to take their spot.
Ozbey, Amiri extend contract with Dempo, Rowilson roped in
Also senior players such as Samir Naik and Clifford Miranda are yet to sign on the dotted line after being asked to take a pay cut. Mahesh Gawli has been reportedly asked to prove his fitness once the pre-season resumes in order to earn a new contract.
It must be noted that although the club has slashed its budget, the younger brigade are being paid handsomely.
players don't have to take a pay cut, Samir & Clifford should know this..assuming they have an existing contract for 2014-15.
If not then one can expect them to jump ship and head to East Bengal or try to stay in Goa with Salgaocar, although given the unwritten rule between those 2 Goan clubs not to pay more for a player when he has rejected an offer from the other, can't see them getting more unless they go to Kolkata
Pune Football Club and Coach Mike Snoei have decided to part ways after mutually agreeing to terms, the Club have informed via a statement.
“The Club would like to thank Mike for the integrity with which he has worked at the club and would like to wish him best for the future,” the statement read.
The Dutch gaffer took charge of the Red Lizards on May 2013, and guided his team to finishing seventh in the Airtel I-League 2013/14.
The Club also announced that the management will announce the new coach shortly.
