Chhinga Veng FC are I-Day Cup Champions. They defeated Chanmari FC 2-1 in the final. This is their 2nd Trophy of the season. They were also the winner of MFA Super Cup.

Not possible... apart from Aizawl FC, no club in MPL has financial clout to participate in I-League/I-League 2.
