Robin Singh: Diego Costa. I look up to him as a striker. All his work is in the six yard box and he has been scoring like a beast.

Messi or Ronaldo?
RS: I am not a Messi fan. I am proper, religious Ronaldo.
JJ: Messi. In terms of stats they are very similar, but the things Messi does on the field are just out of this world.
Favourite actor
RS: Jason Statham. All he does is action and drive cars and that is something that really catches you.
JJ: I like comedy. I like Adam Sandler. He is a brilliant actor; he makes me laugh a lot. I don’t like horror films; I get scared and can’t sleep at night afterwards. Also, how Leonardo Di Caprio has not won an Oscar, I don’t know. That’s a disgrace for me.
Favourite movie:
RS: Never Back Down. It’s something I’d love to watch before every game.
JJ: Man on Fire. I also like the Dumb and Dumber movies. Josh Walker and I always watch them; we just sit there and crack up, and nick all the one liners off them.
The most annoying player in the BFC team:
RS: Myself. I annoy people to an extent where they would want to sucker punch me.
JJ: That definitely is Josh Walker because all he does is steal deodorants and shower gels. He hides stuff, removes the laces of your boots. He is always annoying everyone. He has also got an annoying face (laughs).
The player who spends the most time in front of the mirror
RS: Me.
JJ: That’s a tussle between Sean Rooney and Robin Singh. Robin likes to do his hair and obviously Sean has none. Sean is always putting creams on and checking himself out with his top off, checking how fat he is because he always has a tendency to put on weight. He’s a fat kid waiting to break out.
The player with the worst dressing sense in the team
RS: I don’t look at others except myself. Every one dresses in the dark except me.
JJ: Keegan Pereira. None of his clothes fit him. Everything he wears is baggy and all he does is wear a spotted Brazil top. He’s got only one of those and he has it on I’d say 300 days of the year.
RS: If cold coffee and scrambled eggs make you a good cook, then yes. I can cook to survive; that’s all I can say. I can cook breakfast. I am not a lunch or dinner guy but I can make crazy breakfast.
JJ: I’m not too bad. I make good spaghetti balls – that is the best dish I can make.
Have you been told you’ll never make it?
RS: Always. I was told I was too fat and thrown out of academies. When I left East Bengal people said I was a spent force. Then I came to BFC and we won a championship.
JJ: No one ever told me that. I’ve had warnings during a dip in form, but never been told that.
Most inspirational moment
RS: It was when mum and dad came to the stadium, when we’d just won the Federation Cup. They were stopped at first and then someone said, “Just let them through. They’re Robin’s parents.” Then the crowd parted and mum and dad walked through (on to the pitch).
JJ: Probably when I made my debut for Middleborough. I came on against Chelsea in the Premier League at the Riverside Stadium. It was in front of my home crowd against a massive club. There were about 30,000 fans and that definitely is the most inspirational moment of my life.
