The real tussle would be, I think, (if it is not already decided) between Stimac and Roca. Some reports, like the Business Standard one, have already given Stimac the lead because of his salary demands and his better record as an NT coach

Roca has advantage of

1) Being in India before

2) Backing of Players and Ex-Players. Remember that SC got this job also because of Old Boys Network and backing of Bhutia.

3) Understanding of ISL Pressure on National Team Activities

The problem is when u have students deciding on the teacher, there is hardly any room for improvement.

This is so typical in Indian sports - its been very dominant in Indian cricket (even Women cricketers are following the boys!) and since SC's second stint our footballers have started calling the shots on the appointment of a coach.
