Hope MB will get some gud players warming the benches of ATK for this ileague ... Komal, John Johnson, Hitesh sharma, Jobby Justin, Anas edathodika, Balwant, Boris Singh etc
ATK reserves playing calcutta premier division b next season will be withdrawn?
Its not Mohun bagan who is buying ATK but the other way round. Mohun Bagan was a property up for sale and ATK seeing opportunity bought it and no new owner registers his property in the name of old owner. It might sound harsh but thats the reality. #MoneyTalks
Coke bought over Parle (makers of ThumsUp) & being a global brand, tried desperately to kill the brand in India, as the brand didn't fit in its portfolio. It is only when it realised that ThumsUp was too strong a brand in the mind of Indian consumers & coke in the cola segment was finding it difficult to gain share over its rival Pepsi, it gave the brand ThumsUp the due respect it deserved and thats when it pumped in money behind the brand & thereafter the co. found foothold in India.
Am sure Goenka is aware of many such corporate stories related to M&A and its aftermath & I hope he doesn't make the same mistake, especially in the context of Indian football where u can't kill brands like Mohun Bagan, EastBengal, Mohammedan Sporting. We have seen the death of so many franchise clubs in quick succession in only 6 years, since the inception of ISL
.Also the onus is now on the Mohun Bagan supporters, to back the name "Mohun Bagan" even more, create more buzz thru social media platform & any other media ,so that ATK becomes irrelevant in the long run...
