About Badges, Ranks, Points and Special Privileges

Ok. There seemed to be a lot of curiosity and confusion among the forum members about the recent changes on the forum. Here, this will help you I feel. Also, do watch the short tutorial video in the end on 'How to flaunt your badges'.

Points System The point system is here to stay. We have rather added new ways to gain extra points! The Badges will earn you some bonus points apart from what you earn through likes/insightfuls/LOLs.

Badges The Badges bear testimony to your fabulous journey as a valuable and esteemed member of this forum. All of you must have received some badges by now (ma be not as many as me tough :P). If you click on the badges then you will see why were they awarded and who are your peers with the same badge. For each badge that you earn, there are some points awarded. For example, 100 Insightfuls badge may earn you 30 points at one go!

Ranks You start with 'Amateur Footballer' rank with your very first point earned. Then you move to U16 footballer/U19/ U23 etc. as you keep reaching milestones in terms of points that you earn. Higher ranked members do get some special privileges.

Privileges Privileges are awarded based on ranks. Amateurs will have no editing privilege. But as you keep moving higher, you get some time period to edit. Higher rank means more time to edit. We will also enable 'file uploads' for higher ranked members and there are more special privileges to come!
