I personally feel World Cup Finals place can be achieved.

Practically speaking ,to achieve a Top 4 spot from Asia you will have to be ranked at around 50-70 in the world.

Now if you consider the players who would be playing around 2018-2020(Qualifiers)then would be:

    1)Jeje
    2)Brandon
    3)Dika
    4)Alwyn
    5)Gurpreet
    6)Holicharan
    7)Robin
    8)Uttam
    9)Sandesh jhingan
    10)Pratik
    11)Vineeth
    and few Older heads

so according to me(In this team if all play together in the starting 11 then we surely would be around the 50-70 mark)

As out of these, already a few have earned trial offers and the rest would be joining soon.

I am assuming out of the 11 atleast 6-7 would be playing overseas thus helping in increasing the rankings and chances for worldcup.

  • Uttam and Brandon are already abroad. I would like to see Uttam go ti England instead of stay uin the US. Same with Brandon.

What's this obsession with Pratik Shinde? What makes you feel he is a India NT material? For God's sake he isn't even considered for India u16 team.

He plays for a foreign team. However I feel that him beuing uin the US is not good for his development. These current U16 guys go training in the top academy in US but Pratik is in n0n-league football.

The names u listed above most shud play abroad for a season or atleast to polish their style n tecnique n then have a crack at asia cup 2019.. id say withdraw from challenge cup n go to group stage qlfrs n see what happens.. as there is no slot for winner of 2016 challenge cup..

    exactly....
i feel any country with ambition for their development should take the regular route...
as in that way we also earn some respect when we qualify...

You seem to be obsessed with the EPL/ England and yet u do not know the rules that are required to be satisfied for a player to play in England.

And which foreign team is that? Some 6th Division US league and that too he was hired bcoz the coach thought, funnily, that he could exploit his India connection to sell merchandise etc..

If he turns out a good player good for us, but just coz he is in a foreign shitty team does not make him a World Cup prospect!!

I belive that Uttam can make it in India as a top-youth talent though. His marketing potential is huge as well.
  • @nameWTHeld Any foreign league is better than India.
