    1) As an Indian citizen, how do you feel about the recent development of India as a country? How has India progressed or modernized (not Westernized)?

    1) Slow and steady. We will get up there very soon.
    2) Corruption reduces the pace at which we grow. But we cant do anything about it. It will always be there. Unless we start chopping peoples head off in public if found guilty.
    3) Too much to write.

These kind of topics are close to my heart. I would love to engage in these discussions face to face coz typing would take ages.
but in summary, I would say we have been cheated and mislead a big time. The country which until a decade ago was promising to be a super power has now nowhere to hide. We have been looted and divided in the name of religion.
The parties like Congress and SP, BSP and MIM and non-political orgs like VHP and Bajrang Dal are dividing us; some for political gains, other for ideological reasons.

Even more frustrating is the role of media. Every big media house has turned into mouthpiece of the governing party and people are being deliberately mislead on a number of fronts.

At a time when the lone issue of elections should have been development, poverty and health, they are talking religious and social differences!
    We are in serious trouble.

Request : Please don't discuss the above topics, even if the thread is 'online chatting'. There are enough ingredients to spark an uncalled for controversy. for example in the above post specific parties are named, now if we have a regular user who doesn't agree to that will either starting having arguments or bad vibes towards the user. There was a reason we had banned certain people due to their overt regionalism, not because they were plain stupid, but because it starts friction here.  one can always talk  abt those in other forums/ private chats. A football supporter don't have to be politically correct or a great human and This is still a football forum.

I think the main posters on this forum are mature enough to not make this into a huge deal. And if someone does (which so far has not been the case almost 18 hours later) then we delete the post.

Lot of crowd yesterday. Maybe over a lakh people thronged the streets of Panjim. But overall it was not up to mark as previous years. Maybe due to funds scarcity after closure of mining.

The Margao parafe is usually better and probably draws an even larger audience. But I will miss it as footbsll comes first. Tjat too a title determiming match.
