0-1: Vladimir Kozak scores first goal for Uzbekistan in the 32nd minute.

Half-time report: The Indians started well and in the 11th minute, striker Sumit Passi's lob over the onrushing rival goalkeeper Amanov Asilbek hit the upright. And then, in the 17th minute, Brandon Fernandes' free-kick from top of the box agonisingly went over.

If the Indians dominated the first 20 minutes, Uzbekistan slowly regrouped and pressed hard. The first goal came in the 32nd minute when Vladimir's left-footer from the top-box bulged the net.

The Indians came back strongly with Brandon feeding Holicharan and Passi uprfront but the Uzbeks managed to hold onto to the lead till the interval.
