Looks like some good news is soon to emerge on our "Emerging Player of the Tournament", Sandesh Jhingan. Pretty much certain to attempt a move abroad to Europe after confirming on twitter.
He can't get a UK club as he would not get a work-permit. At most he could sign with a British club and then get a loan move abroad but I don't see that happening as usually those are done in the hope of gaining EU citizenship, which Jhingan will never do.
Agree with Negi here. This guy seems like a nice bloke but at the end of the day I do not believe he is the right choice to lead Jhingan abroad. I would love to be proven wrong.
Its not that he will never get work permit Oman's Al Habsi made it to EPL even when Oman is under 100 in FIFA rankings. He has to play 75% of the national team games as same goes for Gurpreet
He started his agency just before ISL and wanna make use of ISL hype .. his only player in ISl was Chopra .. and Then he signed some punjabi Indian players including Sandesh .. he do have good relation with SAFF origin players in Europe .. but agent wise it was bad decision ..
Bida, this explains how Al-Habsi made it to England. The rules since then have gotten stricter... much stricter. India needs to be a top 75 nation and he must play in 75% of matches for India within a period of time (I forgot the amount).
So there is no point trying his luck in UK, so probably he could try out in Belgium or Netherlands where the playing standards are more or less similar to UK
