I'm loving @Ashlesh bi-polar behaviour. ...hammered Dempo and Arthur last season...but seems happier now...Maybe the influx of more Goans had helped ease his hatred similar comments about FC Goa the hatred for BFC and fans is entertaining. ..and makes great banter on this forum... Bear in mind this same group of players won the I-League...and also the Fed Cup.. major issues i see with BFC...their 4th foriegner isn't as good as the one they replaced. .. Sean Rooney isn't a top 5 I-league striker...so they shouldve upgraded. .
Still expect them to finish top 3...which in the grand scheme of things...isnt bad.
Its an 18 month old Club that is guaranteed another season in AFC .(thanks to Fed Cup triumph.) ..all its players get paid on time( only SALGAOCAR & Dempo can match that ).....the clubs home games get genuine fans and have an ISL feel... so all in all...You can't really say its doom & gloom
@gaffartape do you think Sean Rooney upgradation could be Phil younghusband ? can bfc afford him next season? I guess Phil will be in 130-140k $ bracket
Having said that they don't have a chance in AFC because they don't have better foreigners and if we get to play a UAE club, you will know the result. Anyways, all good has been done in 18 months, I can see BFC transform into a Prime after 3 years.
As explained....they signed player's on 2 year deals last year and over achieved. ... so why go out and blow loads of money improving the squad...especially with I-League uncertainty
