I find Stephen Constantine's new approach to employ spotters to unearth talents a fresh approach in Indian football. What I gathered from the newspapers is that spotters will be in all 24 states and there will not be any salaries for them, only reward per selection (Rs 3-4 Lakhs). Thus, the whole country would be covered yet there will not be much financial pressure on AIFF. Plus, there would be urge on part of the spotters.
I think all good clubs (other than Indian) have good spotter network, though I am not sure if any national fed has it. However, in absence of any noteworthy efforts from the Indian clubs, this would be a low cost, viable option to spot new talents for the national team. I hope AIFF listen to him.
when the scouts are not payed.. there are chances that scouts would rather select players who could pay them handsomely despite their talent this way the player gets looked by national coaches possibly and the scouts get money despite not giving best talent and there is only one at loss the national pool of talent missing some real talents
