Confirmed: Bagan doesn't have a principal sponsor for over a year, yet they are the reigning I-League champions! This has two implications : a) Bagan pays the salary to its players else they wouldn't have been motivated enough to give it their best shot and make them champion! or b) The name Mohun Bagan has such ae equity that even today's money minded players' are willing to forego their salary playing for Bagan and yet win the I-League for the club!
I introduce a third option, c, the correct one: MB have not been paying salaries to its footballers regularly, long before the sponsorship issue, ever since the Tutu-Debashish-Anjan combination came to the club. It pays its salaries to the foreigners regularly. Players have not been willing to take things lying down. They have often voiced their complaints at different occasions, and have sometimes dragged the club to the court to settle their dues. And now, no more posts on this thread. Let's continue on the Fight Club. Otherwise, some 'Domin'ating member might shoo us off from here.

Now choose from a or b!
