We should attract top talent from Thai and k leagues maybe j league ( m not sure about Japan) if and when we have a single national league
Barretto the MB legend had said once he left Japan for India as it was easier to survive in India
Having said that even if ileague gets more jleague 2 talents ( afc and mfc have them) ill be happy. They are technically more gifted than the Africans we get and Indian players can learn more
Football is booming in Thailand..A 20 team league..the national teams doing well..all the clubs have great infrastructure...And ofcourse the scouting is great there
Donot compare Thai football with indian football . I have read in article boadcasting deal is about 500 crores. & revenue will be shared around the clubs participated in the league
Football is also Thailand's most popular non-local sport. The most popular local sport is some sort of Martial Arts so you can say that probably in spectators, football is the most popular.
However, it is still not all rosy. Still a lot of corruption within Thai football and also massive gaps in team quality and some financial troubles among the smaller clubs. This will prevent Thai football from reaching their potential for now.
Good result in the under-23 tournament though so far.
The 23-year-old defender will be the final foreign signing for the Pune-based outfit…
Derrick Pereira’s DSK-Shivajians are set to rope in Jeremy Labor in order to strengthen their defence. The club have three foreigners on their rosters, namely Haroon Amiri, Douhou Pierre and Aser Dipanda.
Labor has represented the French Under-18 and Under-19 sides in the past. He started his youth career with Saint-Ouen l'Aumône before joining L'Entente SSG. Thereafter, he moved to AS Monaco in 2007. He made two senior appearances for the Principality club but featured regularly for the ‘B’ side.
He last plied his trade for Belgian club Zulte-Waregem where he made four appearances.
