there are still some percentage of dempo fans and salgaocar fans who are very much rivals. You can find a good percentage of fans specially the Senior citizens in goa who are die hard salgaocar fans and by telling them to get united and compete as 1 team. that's just notorious to the fan base
AFAIK the Salgaocars of FCG and Salgaocar FC are not the same persons (Dattaraj and Shibanand -- they are brothers/ cousins). So Dempo and Salgaocar cannot just morph into FC Goa, they have to seek opinion of the other Salgaocar at FCG ...
^^^ Spot On.... Many of them doesn't know about it. and last match of I league involving salgaocar vs dempo @ tilak Vasco had drawn sufficient crowd and also being salgaocar as being home team ( from Vasco) so its just isn't wise to talk about merging stuff.
