Pre- Season plans for ileague teams

With BFC planning a Japan tour, thought it would be great to have a platform for the preseason plans and gossip about the other teams as well. I guess the Kolkata clubs would stick to CFL and then 1 tournament (Nepal?) before ileague...

Goa clubs in GPL, Kolkata clubs in CFL, NE clubs in their own state leagues, MFC in Mumbai League. What's there to discuss here, open and shut topic.

P.s. Pune and KBFC can do whatever noone cares

I am proposing a pre-season tournament in Bangalore....invite 2 CFL teams..PFC...and BFC....have 4 SAARC teams...and a simple League/knockout...

Let's see....might end up with just 4 teams...but could be like the Ajax Cup.

Any time foreign teams are involved ..AIFF have to approve...whih means IMG have to approve ...

That's where the plan fell thru...

What would IMG have against local tournamnets inviting foriegn teams? It hardly impacts ISL brand equity, @gaffertape??

IMG won't want full stadiums before / durong ISL where teams like Johor Darul Taksim , Chonburi or some top Indonesian teams are playing.

Worse still. .having teams like Sri Lanka, Nepal and or skme NorthEast teams play in a tournament in a city like Bangalore would certainly mean packed stadiums

Now contrast that with What David Platt and FC Pune City will experience !

On 12th November India will play Guam in most probably Bangalore and Chennayin will play North east United. Clash of National Team versus ISL on TV.

I can promise you, there will be "technical issues" due to which the National team match will not be shown.
