It is political gimmick. Regarding Mohammedan Sp ? Every body knows why ....let us keep mum. Bengal Cup ???? To be organized by IFA ? Another joke. Let us wait for the things to take natural course & argue with each other about what is good & what is bad.
The clubs shouldn't have brought the Government into the picture. This is violation of FIFa/ IOC's statute. And Didi will not solve anything (she has little understanding of the ISL-I-league imbroglio). She will only extract some mileage for herself and leave the scene murkier.
@Deb_Ban Fully agree with you. But unfortunately in our country we all think & most of the time also find that when nothing works....sort of Political pressure works, though in this case whether it will work or backfire ..... my guess is as good as yours. As we all know with so much of "fixing" allegations IPL is working smoothly only because it has the blessing of influential politicians irrespective of their colours. AIFF Chief also has a political back ground & gets mileage for that. Business houses go hand in hand with the politicians for obvious reasons. Thus even though it sounds nice that "sports & politics should not mix"......it is just a saying & has no relevance.
It is basically 'mai-baap Guv'mint' syndrome of ourselves. For any kind of constipation (except for the Stephen kind) or loose motion, we run to the Government and expect them to solve it ...
More that the imminent entry of the Big 2 in ISL (BFC is more or less certain), I am more keen to know the composition of the next I-league. Would it also expand? Will the Goan clubs reappear? Will there be more corporate teams? Will Minerva stay? Will Chennai City make a better team this time? will Aizawl recover from the exodus of players?
