Yup that's what business means .

I still remember Delhi Daredevils earning 28 crore from tickets . A capable management of kbfc or atk can earn them more than 40 crore a season this year .

If 50000 people attend weekend games and each ticket is priced 500 on AVG , then 1 match will bring 2,50,00,000 rupees . DD earned 4 crore per match with 40,000 attendance with many matches a week .

    Going further .

This way they earn 27 crore a season .
Minus 15 crore franchise fee .
    Left with 12 crore .
2 crore spent on security .
    Left with 10 crore .

    Players bought for 20 crore
    10 crore loss .

Money gained from winning league or finishing at top 2 .
Super cup and more money earned .
    Central sponsorship and miscellaneous .

5-10 crore profit loss per season .
    I rest my case .

50,000 paying (Rs. 500/- avg) public in a match ? This appears to be a fabricated figure.
Also average crowd in every match can't be 50,000.
Let us have some realistic data which can be justified by logic or common sense.

    This seems too far fetched.
not every spectator pays for their ticket. neither in ISL nor I-league.

ATK and KB can achieve that and they have achieved that .
For others it very tough .

Let us close this thread as there will be no merger. Instead we can start a new thread titled 'All Reliance Football Federation'

If that is true , then fans are more guilty .
It's just like , you want better services but don't want to pay and if you get one then you destroy it like with the semi luxury train .

    Mentality should change .

To rest the case take below is the rough numbers taking into consideration the 2015 numbers :

    Approximate earnings for teams

Chennaiyin FC: R 36 crore. Atletico de Kolkata: R 32 crore. Kerala Blasters: R 21.75 crore. FC Goa: R 19.89 crore. Northeast United FC: R 19.86. Delhi Dynamos: R 18.25. Mumbai City FC: R 16.75.

This is the official audited numbers after the 2015 season.

Keeping this in mind the additional sponsorship income from 2 more teams as well as franchise fees plus salary wage cap of 18 crores (Don't think high earners will come for 5 months tournament) should help franchises recuperate 75-80% of costs.

This number of 2015 with central pool of 100 crores. Expectation is this could touch 125-140 crores for a longer league due to 2 additional months of ISL football.
