We, Minerva Academy FC would like to register formal complaint regarding the U-18 players of Lone Star Kashmir being overage not only by a few months but by many years.
Firstly they are huge compared the the boys of other teams in the pool like us, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Their body structure is not that of a teenage boy. They have so much of facial hair compared to their counterparts. Atleast 3 of their players are over 6 ft 4 inches in height whereas many others are short and stout like grown men.
Also, two of the players who are playing in their U-18 squad have played with one of our senior team players (Aji Demenege) four years ago at J&K Bank. At that time they used to play U-19 tournaments.
We suspect the average age of some of the LSK players to be between 23-27 years of age. It is a shame that our 14 year olds have to play against them!
We have spent close to Rs. 5 lacs on our U-18 team this season, and we do not take that lightly. We would like to request you to investigate at your end and tell us what action you will be taking and when, as we have total and complete faith in AIFF's intolerance towards age fraud.
As you know J&K have produced handwritten birth certificates for their players which can be easily forged from rural areas and J&K. So, we are ready to bear the cost of bone density tests for the LSK U-18 players under your supervision to put an end to this cheating.
We have discussed with other teams in our pool and other people involved in football of the northern region and everyone knows FOR A FACT that LSK players are Overage. Even the match commissioner agreed that majority of the players look overage but he could not do anything about it as they had submitted the required documents.
I am attaching some pics of LSK players during and before the match, please have look and see if they look U-18 to you.
Since their team will be progressing to the next round and facing teams with legitimate players, you may have to face such complaints in the future too. So we suggest you end this matter right here.
Kindly acknowledge this email and let me know what action is expected from your side and by when. A detailed reply is solicited regarding this matter.
Is this the first of its kind of formal complaint from a club? If yes then damn well done Minerva!!
The point especially where they have mentioned they have spent 5 lakhs on the team and they need that money to be well spent is a case in point to be applauded.
What happens when a geniuine u-18 talent goes up against a 23-27 yr old is he will be outplayed and outmuscled and thereby wont get noticed by bigger clubs who may give him a better chance to train better and hopefully play for the NT.
