Pumping 5 into an opponent whose record against the big two in this season is 3-2-0 is no mean feat. Lajong is a great opponent in any pitch, in spite of this loss. We must accept that MB attack line is phenomenal (critics in Kolkata are already placing Norde-Jeje pair above Barretto-Baichung).
But even without belittling Bagan's feat, may I say here that Lajong were done in by a combination of lack of willpower (after conceding the first) and heat. Yesterday evening was excessively humid in Kolkata.
Lajong gaps in midfield were too big. Defence was too naive...Nim Dorjee throwing himself into a tackle for the 1st goal & then Vishal Kaith doing his obligatory blunder to hand Jeje a tap in
2nd was a good finish...but similar naive mistakes led to it.
The counter attack goal and 5th also showed how badly Lajong are organised defensively...and the young back 5 will keep making such mistakes..

Almost as bad as when Wim Koevermans had Mehtab taking set pieces for INDIA
