NCP supported BJP in Maharashtra....one reason why no serious enquiry ever happened to the reportedly 70,000 cr irrigation scam.....
U get the drift....what PP is doing now ( in terms of money) is small fry.....best we can hope for is PP gets some other business to fleece and moves on...
Merger of two league is one and only good option to take our football forward. Scraping I league or ISL will only hold us back. We need old clubs, that passionate fan base, their experience as club owners , their ability to run club in harsh financial situations alnong with newly created hysteria of ISL, fan engagement of ISL, stardom of ISL. Scarping one of them will only hold us back.
There is no guarantee the img rel guy himself will be in the job by 2019.
Btw2019 is still a long time for now and that gives a solid 2-3 more seasons by which time we would know the new single league.
Am happy for the fact the single league cannot be postponed as u can see the player fatigue and stress on the calendar is obvious.
Its hopefully beyond politics now and on a high level every party has come to an agreement of a single league am sure.
@EastBengalPride PP is a big Businessman also. People on Sports bodies are those who have good relations with politicians in all the parties as well as corporates. Example: Shukla ji of Cricket, Kalmadi ji, Lalit Modi Ji . PP is a close friend of Adani ji and Ambanis ji-the businessman who control Modi. You are saying that NDA will go after PP? ha ha In 2014 General Elections, Modi refused to go for Election Rally in Gondia despite pleas from local BJP candidate as he will not campaign against somebody who is friend and partner of Ambani/Adani. I can see PP head of AIFF for next 25 years unless there is a rule that bars him from standing in AIFF President election after set number of terms.
Indian Super League Regulatory Commission have called upon FC Goa management for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, 6th January 2016 in Mumbai for breach of ISL Regulations and bringing disrepute to the game.ISL have charged FC Goa of ‘boycotting match and league ceremony’, ‘public criticism and threating match officials’, ‘allegation of match fixing’, and ‘non-adherence of League rules’ after the team decided to skip the post match presentation ceremony and ducked the press conference after the final was played out in Fatorda, Goa.
The Indian Super League Regulatory Commission is a two-member panel consisiting of independent advocate Vidushpat Singhania and former Indian international cricketer Kiran More.
Are you saying that the league will never happen or that it won't be like the BPLS, cause that was also ran by CMG.
IMO, this league is destined for disaster. At least there is potential for the ISL, especially if they get certain things right over the next few years but Bangladesh I can't see it working long-term in this format and while the ISL could prosper on a longer-schedule, the BSL won't.

Certainly has gotten us this far.
