I fear the Afghans. They won't be quite so generous by letting us intercept so often in the final third. Offensively, Jeje and the rest can hardly hold off the afghan CB's in particular. Hope the confidence we gained from this might let us eke out a result.
yes I agree..this game should have been won like 4-1..SC would know this..Afghans have seen that despite dominating India are defensively frail..bound to happen if you have guys like Augustine,Narayan and even Arnab..Now Jairu does not deserve to play in the finals
@samiam ;Bringing zuala any earlier would've been an extremely ballsy move. Jairu as bad as he is, contributes a fair bit defensively. I actually agree with SC for taking S.Chet out (damn! same Initials). Save him up, we can't afford to play the afghans w/o him.

Was a good game overall. We played with some confidence and purpose. Defence still not up to the mark. We might struggle against the Afghans. Maldives are nowhere near the team they used to be a couple of years back. Ashfaq was the main reason they did well. Him going past his prime has led to the decline of Maldives.

What we should be worried is the conversion ratio which is abysmal. Afgans CBs are way better than maldivians and they would be putting alot of pressure on our forwards, so apart from chhetri can any one else handle that sort of pressure?
