Was a sketchy win. But credit to the team for working hard and sticking to it till the end. Oh SC what are we going to do after your time? Holicharan was very good. Bikash as usual was playing like a headless chicken. The one time he lunged amazingly to convert a throw in to a corner capped off the hilarity of the man. He too worked hard. Jeje is vecoming an effective striker. Defense on the other hand was shite throughout. Narayan das impressed me today going forward. Great competition from the afghans. Have a right to complain that they were cheated out of a pen. Bet hey! Such is life!! This hopefully marks the beginning of a new era in Indian football. One without jairu being a regular hopefully...
Wait for Aiff media and BB15 to paste all over the media tomorrow on how the pvt reality show has enabled India to become champion again......already there is a tweet allegedly by Martial being forwarded by Chennayian.. Check out yourself to believe ut
I think ISL has been influential to an extent to get confidence in guys like Jeje and Robin who have now started scoring thereby reducing burden on Sunil Chettri
We can't deny the fact this guys has got some confident from playing against better players. Please give credit to everything where they deserve. Don't blindly oppose or support anything. Today is a party night. Please no negativism guys.
We should persist with Narayan Das and Pritam Kotal till a better one emerges from aiff U19 or U17 hopefully. I don't think we have better full backs for sometime.
As for eugenson, I've lost faith in him especially with his age nearing 30 and he's unlikely to improve further.
Pranoy Halder, Bikramjit singh, Rowlin Borges, Sehnaj Singh all aged 22-23 should fight for the 2 centre midfield spots. Most likely, these 4 will be our long term options and hopefully atleast 2 will succeed.
And you think isl hasn't been beneficial? Jeje has become fitter and holds the ball a lot better coz of the style of play he had to learn for mendoza. Robin clearly started playing differently since he became a part of DDs . looks more interested in scoring goals and creating chances.
The most important thing to come out of isl is confidence. When you play with famous players, reputed coaches in front of crowds ranging from 10 k - 40 k with crowd cheering for you gain confidence and with confidence, you become a different player.
Flying away? But his jobs only starting. With ISL taking off spectacularly, we only hope some amazing talent somewhere in the country sees football as a viable and lucrative careee choice. Point is, we have some talented young kids coming through. Especially the u-16 batch. From integrating the fringe guys like brandon and the kids et al into the full national setup and handle the transition from the SC generation to the kids, stephen has his worl cut out. Has already become the first foreign coach to win saff, so hopefully we can one day credit him for our rise in the footballing ranks to become asia cup regulars..
