Football events will be held at Nehru Stadium, R. G. Baruah Sports Complex and Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium, Sarusajai Sports Complex

    This year we have so many thing going on. World Cup Qualifiers, Asia Cup Playoffs, SAAF Cup, SAG Games, AFC Cup, I-League, ISL, Federation Cup. Non stop Football. If this is the last year for I-League, I wonder what our players will do in 2017? It will become hard to make them busy next year. 3 month Circus and thats it????

    They should have given chance to only those players who are not playing in I-league for SAF Games.

    Crazy idea of mine which I just thought about for 2 seconds: If this is the last season of the I-League (which I hope it isn't) you could have the 2016-17 season be the ISL for the August-December slot (including pre-season) and then perhaps run the Santosh Trophy with I-League players eligible and try expanding it to 2 months instead of currently less than a month. State leagues could be pushed to January 2017 and then Santosh Trophy around April to May.

    All while planning on whatever shit with the ISL/I-League for the 2017-18 season.

    Again, just putting out a very undeveloped idea.

    I mean, if that is the sacrifice that has to be made for a short-period in order to set-up a one-league system properly then I guess.
