The gulf in the teams is huge... the SLFC U23 team that played in IFA Shield ( few years back) with no foreigners would finish 4th or 5th on I-League.
At this level, 4 Foreign players is a must. MB massively erred in having 3 Foreigners. One question, Cornell Glenn was okay to play against Tampines rovers. So AFC had no problem in playing against Shandong also. So why was he stopped at Mumbai Airport? Was it immigration problem?
