It doesn't. And honestly, if they were really trying with fudging they are not trying hard enough. The stadiums at Pune, Kolkata, and Mumbai can hold a lot more than the 6,000-10,000 they reportedly hold yet these are the numbers we get. Chennai's Nehru Stadium can hold more than 30,000 easy yet we get just over 20,000, same with Guwahati's.
Hell, I am certain the Kerala Blasters announced attendances is LESS than what it actually is. Looks like over 60,000 yet been reported around 54,900 for the last two matches.
For gods sake, just enjoy the game and league. I understand the need to analyze it and I support that but from what I can see it does not look bad... other than Chennai but there are reasons for that too!
There is no doubt that the ISL has brought back the crowds to the stadium, floodlights, entertainment etc have all helped. They have to keep the owners interest in the clubs high as they will want to break even or minimize losses at the earliest
@Ashlesh .. Well in the early decade Bhaichung Bhutia helped Indian football grow. Now he is killing Indian football. He is the biggest stooge of IMG Reliance. Can't believe he is so greedy for money. He was the guy who lent the first support to IMG Reliance in 2014, and now he is saying that ISL is killing Indian football? Unbelievable!!!
